NEW PARADIGMS IN STRATEGIC PLANNING
 

Managers and executives should begin to structure their strategic visioning and planning processes around both a learning and performance framework, rather than just a product/performance only framework. Practitioners must better understand this process during both stable and radically changing environments to minimize disruptions and maximize the long term survivability of their organizations.

CSL can help organizations:

  • systematically integrate organizational concerns with societal and environmental issues;
  • bridge the gap between the individual and organizational aspects of learning; and
  • integrate existing theories of strategy development and organization management with the dynamics of the organizational learning system.
