PRACTICAL WISDOMThe Executive Leadership Program presents a transformational learning experience which provides leading edge strategies and practical processes for generating innovation and expanding our human potential. Grounded in the 21st Century science of mind and consciousness, the modules of this seminar provide insights into how global change operates and why it is so difficult to change our selves and the organizations in which we live and work. Using the latest affective science as well a principles of human learning, participants will gain an understanding of and skill in practicing mindfulness and wisdom from the perspectives of Western knowledge and eastern wisdom. By applying global concepts and research from GWU's Center for the Study of Learning, MIT, and the Mind and Life Institute, the seminar dialogues and learning experiences focus on first- and second-person interactive learning experiences, as participants practice and develop the innovative skills of focused mental attention, self-awareness and self-transformation. COURSE FACULTY Dr. Clyde Croswell has over 28 years experience in government and 10 years in consulting in private, government and nonprofit organizations. He leads research in the areas of human learning and affective science to understand leadership complexity. Dr. Liliana Meneses has over 15 years experience as an educator, consultant and researcher in the field of human and organizational learning in multicultural settings. She has presented worldwide on cultural sensitivity development and diversity in the workplace. Ms. Katie Rosenbusch holds a Master's degree in Human Resource
Development. She has lived and worked in Asia and presents leadership
training workshops throughout the U.S.
